She emitted a low, melodious sound, a kind of mellifluous howl.
In the freezer of an old fish factory in a tiny Icelandic town, I wrote and recorded the album, Spákonufell, named after the mountain that greeted me each morning. This place, along with the incredible collaborations and transformative experiences I had there, shaped the sound and spirit of the album — and gave me the space to truly be myself. Fully.
She is now in Japan writing her new Album Wildroot and Amber – An interactive sonic apothecary.
A sensory sound project that transforms memory into music using everyday objects as instruments. Blending violin, voice, and electronics with the Playtronica controller, it turns relics like photographs, leaves, and letters into touch-activated soundscapes. Part ritual, part performance, it’s an intimate exploration of memory, what we preserve, and how we listen across time.
